Whilst staying in Canmore for just over a week we had to go more than once for dinner. The wings were some of the best I’ve had and staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Could not recommend more!
At the advice of my colleague Kudzai who always orders from there I decided to try something different today seeing as I work/live at Canmore inn & suites & it’s basically next door from the front desk where I work. I ordered through Uber Eats as I’m ill and didn’t want to go out. I ordered the Doritos chicken burger, Chicken Samosa & a Butter chicken poutine. I’d requested extra onions/parsley on the poutine. I feel like those of us who work in the hospitality industry and go out of our way to do a great job don’t always get recognized or appreciated so whoever it was that made my food today - thank you very much! I can’t eat that much at once but will eat the rest later but thanks for going out of your way to make my poutine extra special. The Doritos coated chicken burger is HUGE by the way. I could barely eat half. But the coating is crispy and flavourful. Would definitely order again. The Samosas were extremely crispy and good with the tamarind dipping sauce, they aren’t huge but they’re very good. I can’t believe they make a Butter Chicken poutine. Again, I had a few bites but am very full so will reheat tomorrow but it was made with care and was extremely delicious. I’m glad this place is so close. I’ll recommend it to my hotel guests as well. Just wish it was open later because I work overnights so would have to order earlier. Can’t wait to try other items next time!
Tried Alberta Wing Shack for the first time and we loved it! We ordered the chicken quesadilla and the family chicken meal—both were amazing. The chicken was freshly cooked, juicy, (could add a little more flavor), and the quesadilla was seriously delicious crispy, cheesy, and so satisfying! The staff were super friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Great food and great service, we’ll definitely be coming back!
Always stop in here when we’re in the area for our yearly trip, we tried honey garlic and garlic parm last year and sweet chilli and dill parm this year, the honey based sauces just can’t eat the cream ones! Would definitely recommend!
We loved Alberta Wing Shack so much we went three times during our trip! The wings were consistently crispy, well-breaded, and super flavorful. We tried Mt. Rundle, Ottawa Senators, Toronto Maple Leafs, Honey Dill Pickle, and Honey Garlic—each one was delicious in its own way. The portions are generous, the prices are affordable, and the staff is very nice and welcoming. It quickly became one of our favorite spots in Canmore. Definitely a must-try if you’re a wing lover!
One of the best wing spots I have ever been to. Simply delicious, reasonably priced and the variety of wings that are here is unreal. I ended up going for the naked wings, since I'm on a low carb diet, and they have so many options. The parmesan cheese based wings are my favorite, because they are so flavorful. Every night me and my Friends would go to the wing shack and get take outs. The customer service here is wonderful as well since the owner was very helpful in advising us about the best wing flavors to select from and also the various combo options. You can tell this place is popping as there is usually a line up to place orders if you are going after hours.
Best wings ever!!! We tried honey garlic (2x), garlic parmesan (1x), salt and pepper (1x), Canmore(1x) and buffalo hot (1x) two orders of curly fries and yam fries that came with dipping sauce. They have a wide variety of flavors. Amazing flavours for EVERYTHING we tried, great size for the wings. They were juicy - not dry at all, fair price. The curly/yam fries were nice and crispy. We ordered 6 basket of wings the sides and it fed 8 of us easily with some leftovers. We got there as soon as they opened so there wasn’t a long wait. Seating available inside and out! Note: ok for people with severe peanut allergy! So sad we are a 33hr drive away. 100% coming back if ever in the Canmore area.
My man and I are from Calgary and came out here for a little brunch. No regrets. Service was amazing. The gentleman at the front desk was very inviting and kind since the moment we walked in. We ordered, sat down and he brought the food to us within 10 minutes (or a little less). We got garlic Parmesan wings, salt and pepper wings, regular fries, and a large curly fry. Let me tell you. Those wings are FULL of meat. The breading has a perfect crisp and the ratio was perfect. Both the curly fries and regular fries were so good and crisped to perfection. Everything was fresh, it was amazing. I highly recommend this place. They have the best wings I have ever had, and for 12.99?! Thank you for makin our little trip out to Canmore worth while!
